This was a sweet! And a lot of wonderful layers of representation that are important for young adults to be seeing. I did find myself confused about the space dust thing because I kept thinking it was a metaphor for something, but once I accepted that Lita is actually from outer space, I enjoyed it more. The two perspectives were distinct, but they felt cohesive in a story together. I didn't like the romantic elements much at all, especially Junior, but I was okay with it because it didn't take away from the themes of family and friendship.
