It's a nice change of pace fantasy setting wise. And I genuinely enjoyed it. Banged it out in a day and immediately started the rest of the series. It was the right amount of dark while still having comedic moments. Ardent was my favorite character then Vic. The romance was nice and I was delighted that it wasn't made a joke of in the book. The title drew me in and I stayed for the wonderful story and surpringly well fleshed out characters. Definitely one I would buy a physical copy of.
