This book was very very very different then what I had pictured. The author does a really good job breaking boundaries by taking the scandalous story of student falls for teacher and bringing it to a whole new level. First and foremost the writing was exquisite. It was like going into a beautiful colorful candy store filled with delightful sweets. So charming, seductive, balancing romance and raw sexual language, because let me tell you there is a lot of sexual tension and discharge of it as well, I was awestruck 80% of the book. The first few pages my jaw was just hanging by Maise's strong, courageous and crazy attitude. As I learned more about her, I was beginning to understand the reason behind her behavior and totally admired how she ended up being so strong for herself and for Evan. I liked Evan, I thought he was a bit too sweet and understanding at times, like dude come on, give me something to complain about, but Maise needed this, she really need to feel first in someone's life. Wesley was my adoration. Crazy creepy teenager but seriously a total sweetheart. I totally fell for his sarcastic snappy comments trying to hide his sweet soft core. His mom - OMG - just to have her for an mother-in-law I would marry that kid. Again - the writing was spectacularly wonderful. It just wraps you up in a happy heaven of passion, and that's a lot to say considering the grim circumstances of the story. The only thing I would have wanted was an epilogue, I think it was well deserved because the ending was cut-off a bit dry but overall a very interesting story because Evan and Maise really have to work to make their relationship work and it makes you question: does age really matter, if there's a connection unlike any other you've felt, how heavy does the age factor weight? Just because it's hard it doesn't mean it's worth to giving up right, after all like they say in Transformers "No sacrifice, No victory".
