I don't know whether or not to give this book 3 stars or 4. I enjoyed it, but I anticipated the ending before it happened. Wonderful use of magical realism, the contrast of fantastical elements and real world disasters made this a fun read.
Graphic: Incest and Racial slurs
Tagged with racial slurs since "g*psy" is used a lot.
