I really wanted to like this book more than I did. The romance ended up being pretty lukewarm. I felt like the two MCs didn't have enough chemistry and what they did have was pretty surface level. Any time there were deeper moments it almost felt forced. My biggest issue with the story as a whole was that it was kind of boring. I expected the two MCs to go on paranormal adventures together but the longer their series went on the less details the readers got of their so-called adventures via podcast-style recaps. Additionally, the conflict and resolution at the end was too predictable.
