The Red Queen
by Philippa Gregory
6/10 Stars. Well written by Gregory of course, I simply found Margaret Beaufort (mother to Henry VII and grandmother to Henry VIII) to be a horribly vain and pretentious woman. She did fight for Henry VII right to the throne, but outside of that and giving birth to him, she didn't seem to do anything else that was decent or good. I imagine she would have been a nightmare to live with... Still, without her, no Tudor dynasty.
