Freedom Walkers: The Story of the Montgomery Bus Boycott by Russell Freedman

4.0

This book is written for children so although I found the book very comprehensive and not ‘quick’ read it does not get into the details of some of the more horrible aspects of this time in history. It does mention the terrible things that happened and who was responsible, but it emphasizes the strong and courageous people who initiated the boycott and the ones who followed through with it to the end.
I enjoyed this book and feel my child will get a comprehensive look at history told to his emotional level.
