I finished this book in a frenzy; I couldn't put it down after a certain point. I had to know what happened to our boy Silas, to Isabella, Daphne, the other girls. I had to know how much these adults were allowed to get away with and how much rage Silas and the girls had toward them. This book is heavy and gruesome and gory, but it is also full of loveliness in between it all. Everything felt earned, even the worst of it. The Spirit Bares Its Teeth just became one of my favorite books, and I know I'll probably reread this again in the future. Hell, I need to buy a print version of this book because I loved it that much.
