This book started off awesome. The first chapter is the whole family being murdered and the young girl running off on Christmas Eve. Then it flashes forward 20 years and the girl is now a woman. Her brother was accused of the killings and is getting out of jail. You aren't sure if he is the one who committed the murders is there a lot of people affected in. That was part of the confusing part is who was who and since the family was yours mine and ours it was confusing with those characters as well. In the end you find out that it was the brother who killed his own brother. Then it was one of the sisters father who killed everyone else. The sister who is thought to be dead or at least disappeared was alive and kept in hiding by her father and she kills herself at the end. The book was kind of confusing.
