I need to completely alter my ranking scale to make room for Babel. RF Kuang is incredible. This masterpiece of a book kept me on my toes until the very end. As a white woman, reading Babel was an eye-opening and humbling experience. I’m so thankful for this book for me to learn about this point in history and to see colonization through the eyes of POC characters. This is a beautiful story about friendship, betrayal, identity, and hope. I loved every second of Babel and hope other readers feel the same.
