To my surprise, I flew right through this book from the first chapter all the way to the end. It reminded me of some of those darker romances I read back in the day on Quotev, so I was a bit nostalgic about that, though this story is definitely more cruel and adult than those past stories of course. Yet, the story was also really interesting and the writing was fair too. I am for sure reading the next book, because the ending is a real cliffhanger, which I kind of figured since this duet series is very much a necessary pair. The ending was maybe a bit fast, but I can't really complain because it was pretty good, and opens up a lot of mysteries to be answered in the next book. Definitely wouldn't recommend to people generally unless they have read stories similar to this before, but to a lesser extreme like I did when I was younger.
Graphic: Rape, Sexual assault, Sexual violence, Kidnapping, and Sexual harassment
Moderate: Self harm and Blood
