The Legacy
by R.A. Salvatore
Pretty much what you can expect from a Drizzt novel.
Good: Drizzt. Guenhwyvar. Plenty of Drizzt vs. Etreri. Plenty of evil Drow stuff (including a drider). Lots of Salvatore's trademark combat scenes. Some fun twists and surprises that really redeem the novel overall.
Bad: Too much Dwarf stuff. Male characters' icky bullshit toward Catti-brie (especially egregious was Pwent slapping her on the ass while tediously overprotective-with-anything-else Wulfgar and Bruenor just stand there, wtf, I know this is an older novel but still it's gross). Not enough Guenhwyvar.
