"Sarah eyed me. For someone so shy with everyone else, she had a way of looking unwaveringly at me that unnerved me a little. Like she was peeling back my layers."

I can't tell y'all how excited I was to read this book because this series has me absolutely bejeweled! Sarah & Theo's story was sweet, romantic and emotional but not without the usual mystery and thrill that comes with the plot! Everything right from the characters to the tropes in this series is quite perfect and I am totally invested! And I must say, out of all the fmc's I've read by the author so far, I could relate with Sarah the most because I'm a bit like her, shy and reserved but also sharp and secretly sassy. I could understand her completely and because of that, I'll never forget this book! Theo was an amazing match for her. The way he eventually made her feel self confident and beautiful was heartwarming, and I loved Sarah's new found confidence and the ability to be able to stand up for herself. Just because she was quite, didn't mean that she was boring or easily missable, in fact her personality shined throughout the whole book, which I honestly loved! The serial killer mystery added some ambiguity in the book and made it a page turner. And the chemistry between Theo & Sarah was sizzling which made this book an easy and charming read. Also, the next book is a marriage of convenience which is my most favourite book trope so I'm looking forward to read that one!
