American Heroin by Melissa Scrivner Love
3.0
This book was a hot mess (but in a good way)
I would have given this book a higher rating but at some parts I got bored so...
This is a sequel to [b: Lola|30900212|Lola|Melissa Scrivner Love|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1469403347s/30900212.jpg|51530270] which is about a lady who is the leader of a drug gang? cartel? and they sell heroin. I can't really say much about this book because then it will spoil things for the first book.
But I will just ramble on about how I felt about this book. So Lola was really good I think I gave it 4 stars when I read it last year so I was super excited for this second book. Upon the first chapter I immediately was hooked... then it took me forever to pick my kindle back up to read because of college and I was reading other books but every time I did get to read this I would read 4 chapters in one sitting. Lola is such a bad ass and I seriously love the different parts of her from being a boss, to a mom, to a whole different person when she has to interact with others outside of her circle. The action in this story really kept me on my toes but sometimes I will get bored with the descriptions and things would be repeated multiple times. I will admit I did skim here and there because the plot seemed like it was dragging but those last like 5 chapters or so OMG. Based off the ending though I do not know if there will be a book 3 I will like there to be but what will it be about?
If I didn't get bored at some parts which I blame school for that I probably would have given this a 4 star but a 3.5 star is going to have to do for now.
