This was a really reflective read that made me think a lot about how a person can change over time and over loves. It was a bit predictable about where it was going from pretty early on, but it was still nice to go on the journey and think about the way the people we love shape who we are, and think about the idea of true love being loving truly. I liked that both Sam and Jesse were great guys and their feelings were all very understandable and relatable (though meeting both of the loves of your life in high school seems a bit far-fetched lol), and it wasn’t like one was painted as a villain just to make Emma’s choice either. Additionally, I loved that the choice wasn’t really one guy versus another as much as just who Emma identified as and how she wanted to be. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and definitely flew through it.
