Rememberings by Sinéad O'Connor

5.0

I listened to this as an audiobook, which I don't usually do, but when I found out Sinead reads it herself, I wanted to hear her voice. She tells her story in chronological order from her childhood right up until her recording of the book during the Covid lockdown. It's an honest, brave telling of her life; the abuse she suffered from her mother is hard to listen to, even though Sinead tells it in a matter of fact way. But you can hear the effect it had on her throughout her life. But that's just part of her story—she talks about her schooling, her music and touring, her children, etc. She has a sense of humor, and uses it throughout the book. And the Prince chapter! Oy!

The only thing I wanted from this memoir was more. 5 stars.
