The Golden Lily
by Richelle Mead
"None of us are meant to be or do anything," he said. "We decide what we're going to be. You told me once that there are no victims here, that we have all the power to choose what we want."
Yesssss! First things first- Adrian and Sydney. I don't care if this is a shitty book, I don't care if Sydney can't wrap her mind around a relationship with a vampire. I still ship them. I mean, they have to realise how perfect they are for each other. And that kissssssss<3
Anyway, Golden Lily by Richelle Mead was a promising sequel to Bloodlines, and was more or less predictable. Sydney suddenly finds herself trapped between what she has always believed in- that vampires and humans were separate races and their could be no pleasant interactions between them, and the only friends she had, who were, naturally, vampires. She also faces another threat, the Warriors of Light. Once kin to the Alchemists, they were an organisation that strove to drive vampires into extinction- Moroi and Strigoi alike.
This is the story of Sydney Sage, as she learns what is right and what is wrong, and begins to questino everything she thought she knew.
