This was my third book by Ann Liang. So, I had expectations.

Eliza Lin had an assignment to write a personal essay but she does not want to talk about her personal life for grades. “Personal essays should be personal? Totally news to me.” So, the only sensible solution she comes up with is, WRITE About A FAKE RELATIONSHIP. To her absolute nightmare it goes VIRAL but to her relief it brings an internship opportunity for her. The only tiny issue is, She needs a boyfriend to lock the internship. Caz Song, a C-drama actor who also happens to be Eliza's classmate agrees to be her fake boyfriend. Thus, begins the Rom-Com.

Caz has the personality is a mix of Peter Kavinsky x Minho. He has the soft and caring side towards Eliza's younger sister and stlyishnes & wit of an actor.

Both Eliza and Caz have their insecurities and flaws which they have to resolve along keeping the cover of the fake relationship. I loved Caz's mother and the way she treated Eliza. Her family watching Caz's movie and simping over him was hilarious.

However, I would have loved to see more of the Caz and Eliza relationship (in the real era) It would have made it a four star for me.

Along with all the mushy feelings it deals with long distance friendship and life of teenagers who frequently move places due to their parents' job. Thus, balancing the theme.

Pick it up and thank me later.
