This was a FABULOUS opening to for the Big Bull Mechanics series! I must say, I found this very difficult to put down!
Blurb:
Steele is the owner of the Bull Mechanics motor garage and has a history of ‘dumping’ past boyfriends for juvenile reasons. He has given up looking for love because he has now invested his time on his business and finds it difficult to look for love.
Porter is a newly qualified veterinarian that has little practical experience but has bought over the veterinary clinic in the town. He feels overwhelmed with his business owner venture and is finding it difficult to stay on top of everything. He is approached by a larger corporation to buy his clinic but declines because he wants to put his patients and his clients first and not be part of a corporate plan.
After Steele’s friends eggs him on to approach Porter at Wooley’s bar, they found themselves dancing and drinking. They left together but unfortunately, Porter had a few too many drinks and ended up passing out in Steele’s bed. Embarrassed about it, he left Steele’s house the next morning alone with breakfast left for him along with Steele’s number. Too embarrassed, he vowed not to contact Steele.
Weeks later, Denali (Steele’s husky pup) found bunnies in the backyard and ended up playing with them. Steele was shocked and worried about the bunnies, so his friends told him to take him to ‘Greenway Avenue clinic’ to have them checked over, which turned out to be Porter’s clinic.

Will Porter get over the embarrassment? Will Steele get over not hearing from Porter for a while? Will they hook up again? And how do the bunnies turn out?

Opinion:
This is a spin off from the Four Bears Construction (FBC) series (which I loved), and this new series is the perfect start to introducing the cheeky bears of the Bull Mechanics. These cheeky chappies were first introduced as a cameo in FBC and I’m so glad their story is being told. I must say that you can read this book on its own and start the series from hear, but I feel that to fully appreciate the different characters, you should read the Four Bears Construction first.
The story has two main characters which was set on the same ‘world’ as FBC. One older burly mechanic with a history for making up reasons to end relationships, and the other lonely, newly qualified veterinarian who has bought a new clinic and is finding it difficult to find love. Both struggle for free time to find the right person because of their demanding businesses but end up finding and making time for each other.
As always, I was in fits of laughter at the banter between the different characters and the way they throw digs at each other. But, the love story between Porter and Steele was so great and I’m happy that Porter finally found love after failed attempts in the FBC series. I remember him well and felt sorry for him. Because of the banter and the love story, I was unable to put this down!
The book was easily read and found myself invested. You could easily follow and see the progression of the characters feelings and love interests but with a few curve balls thrown in.
The story also included a questioning relationship between Steele’s best friend Tallahassee and his brother Gates, but didn’t steer away from Steele and Porter’s story. I do hope that future books unravel this mystery!
Three words to describe this book: Hilarious, HOT, sweet.

Rating:
5 Stars – I would award more if I could.
I personally think that all readers with a M/M romance interest would really enjoy this book and I would definitely recommend it as your next read.
