Murder at the Dinner Party by C.J. Archer
3.0
Cleo is hired by the sister of a Mayfair employee to find out if the death of a butler was caused by more than the natural causes the police claim. The investigation yet again leads Cleo down old roads and uncovers old wounds. Together Harry and Cleo are determined to get to the truth.
I actually think it speaks to how fun the mysteries in this series are that I continued to read them even though the main character's romance subplot makes me yawn. I'm also enjoying the development of the side characters, who are often ignored in cozy mysteries, where they're often just filler characters. If given a slice-of-life installment of this series, I would be ecstatic.
