this book only gets a three stars for being the story that was so foundational to future romance plot ideas (and is what the movie that i actually enjoyed is based on obv). but i found the actual book INCREDIBLY dense and difficult to get through, i just flipped through the pages to say i had looked at them but processed very little. either austen just isn’t for me or this text did a particularly bad job in focusing on plot so yeah idk. if i was rating the book actually i would give it one stars but for the STORY it gets three
