Grave Sight by Charlaine Harris

This is more of a mystery than a fantasy, but at least the mystery was reasonably well done. There were enough suspects that it wasn't immediately obvious and it was complex enough to keep me interested.

I liked the way Harper's powers worked and how smart she and her brother, Tolliver were. (Particularly about crimes and reading people.) But I had trouble liking or caring about either of them. Harper was rather cold and other than being a good brother, the only thing we know about Tolliver is that he sleeps with a different woman in each city.

None of the side characters were likable. It felt like the whole town was against them. (Well, except the love interest. But I didn't like him either. It was more sex than romance, but thankfully the sex scenes were almost entirely off page.)

I was satisfied with the conclusion and the wrap up. Since I own book two I plan to read it. I'd like to find out what happened to her sister, Cameron, but apparently that's not until book four and most people didn't like it, so I'll probably stop after book two. (I thought I owned book three, but nope. I own book two twice. Whoops)
