I definitely prefer the first half to the second. I liked a lot of things about this book but I think there were a few too many repetitive cliches and the spice, however minimal, isn’t for me. Do love that everyone got their happy ending, it’s exactly the book I was looking for to revive me after Red Queen, Six of Crows, & RWBY. Fantasy romance, fairly low stakes, happy ending. Will probably come back to this.
