I went through heaven and hell to get a copy of this book (long story) and it was certainly worth it. Just before I start raving about how amazing this book is, I shall say there are spoilers so beware. Anyway, if u haven't figured it out already, I freaking love this book. I was a huge fan of the Falling Kingdoms series since I read it (which wasn't that long ago, but you cannot deny my love for it), so I obviously had to get the spin off series to this series that I love so dearly. So when I finally got it, I read through it like there were only 5 pages. I knew that there would be ties to the Falling Kingdoms world but I don't know, I didn't expect to actually see Valoria. I'm also surprised that they mentioned Eva and her myth. I'm gonna be honest here and say that I haven't read the Falling Kingdoms series in a while, so I don't remember everything, so..... yeah. And this whole deal with this Markus guy, it is both fascinating and terrifying. He's a complete mystery that I'm desperately trying to explain despite the lack of information. Also one thing seemed to have confused me but will probably be explained later is if Becca travelled through dimensions, then that makes modern Toronto the same time all the shit with Valoria is going down. So that makes Falling Kingdoms happen in the future since Valoria and Cleiona are gone. Or Becca time travelled whilst also dimensions traveling. I don't know. Hopefully that shall also explain. Anyway. past this random babble from a random Indian girl in New England, I think A Book Of Spirits and Thieves is absolutely magnificent and wonderful and marvelous and other adjectives and it made me want the next one so bad so I can see if Maddox and Becca ever see each other again (fingers crossed). In other words, this book is amazing and you should read it.... after you read the Falling Kingdoms books.
