A Gift from the Comfort Food Café by Debbie Johnson

5.0

I've read a few of the Cafe Food Cafe books and they never disappoint. A Gift From the Comfort Food Cafe was pure escapism, a story about finding yourself, love and friendship.

Centered around Katie, who has moved to Budbury on the Dorset Coast with her young son. There is a sense that she is running away from her past, her ex-boyfriend and her parents' dysfunctional relationship. She finds a new family in the residents of the village who take her under their wing, but can she also find romance?

I became totally absorbed in this book and lost track of time. It was a lovely read, humorous, sad, touching and life-affirming. An absolute pleasure to read. you'll love it.
