Cute story. This was a very basic romance. Nothing dark or overly sexy, but it was cute. I liked the characters, especially Delaney. She wasn't the typical girl who every guy wants. She was cute, quirky, and nerdy. I like how the author wrote her different. Maverick was a sexy football player, but a good person on the inside. Like I said, very basic. There wasn't any development amongst characters because they were both good people from the beginning, they were just both going through some stuff.

I gave it 5 stars for what it is, not what I wanted it to be. I read it as a recommendation for the steamy romances I usually look for, so that was disappointing because this is not. But, as a basic boy meets girl romance, this was cute.
