Such a fast read--seriously could not put it down! It was very creepy and suspenseful, and I hope Hoover writes more books like it.
It leaves you wondering who the real villain is. This is done cleverly through the layers of books within this book. The protagonist is reading a book while she is writing a book, and, of course, you're reading a book where she is doing these things. The books she reads and writes are also from the POV of the villain, which is a bit clever to make you question if you are also reading a book from that POV.
TLDR: clever, dark, and spicy.
