This book messed me up. Addie did not deserve the abuse and assault and trauma. The whole time I was thinking Zade would get there in time, he didn’t.
Addie essentially saved herself, shows just how much of a bad ass bitch she is. By the end of this book she was a survivor, stronger, capable. The way he loves her is deep and possessive and all consuming but the way he needs her to fear him didn’t work for me. Yes he would kill the whole world if that meant keeping her safe but she didn’t have a lot of choices with him, it’s like he was assaulting her all over again.
This was not my cup of tea.
