Oh lord, I loved this book. It hooked me from the first chapter and kept me captive until the very end. And what a rollercoaster this story is. Stuff hits out of left field and I loved every second of it. This one has it’s devastating moments, but there are good moments splattered between all the horrible stuff.
I liked Ember. She had backbone when it really counted, and I think she’s a bit more real for me because she often shies away from conflicts. But she stands up when it really matters and it was a joy to see every time.
I loved the brothers though. They each brought their own stuff to the relationship and I loved seeing their love for eachother. Their relationship is a testament to ‘it all happens for a reason’ even though that reason doesn’t presents itself for a while.
They all went through horrible stuff, but it brought them to eachother and that, in my opinion, made all the bad stuff a bit more bearable.
Edit: Still love it, it’s still a rollercoaster of emotions and parts of it really broke my heart.
