This is a story of two best friends, Robyn and Cat, there's alternate pov of the two. Both went away from their small town, where they grew up, to Boston, but after they go through some big hurdles there, they come back to their town to restart their lives.
Robyn, a journalist turned baker, the result of her grandma leaving the bakery to her. Cat is settling in at her new job with a new boss(her old boss' jerk hunky son). The two girls are finding ways to settle down with their new lives. Robyn while struggling to get the bakery going with the help of her haughty French chef and cute dog Darcy, she meets her high school crush, now a vet Nick, whom, her dog, Darcy also seems to like. Cat is managing and killing it at her job has a big Italian family but she has a jerk for a boss but she also feels attracted to him. The dilemma. LOL.
I loved each of their romance plot lines and honestly, I wanted more of it. It was all very cute!
I loved both the female protagonists, they were so strong, compassionate and loyal, I related to both of them, maybe being the same age helped? haha, but they were very relatable. It was lovely to read about them, and their romance stories were a delight to read! I also liked the rest of the characters, and can't wait to read their stories as well! (looking at Cat's brother).
I am so thankful for the author to have approached me with this book to read for review because it was nice to read this. When I started reading the book though, I thought it would get confusing and was worried about the ending given the length of the book, but the worry was pointless, the authors did a great job writing this, the story flows smoothly and wraps up well in the end as well!
It is really worth reading this book I must say.
