The Unlikely Adventures of the Shergill Sisters by Balli Kaur Jaswal
5.0
I really did want to hate this book. I'm all for building suspense but so obviously saying things that make it super aware that the reader does not know only made me want to put the book down. It was definitely telling me the actual truth wouldn't live up to the amount of suspense.
Anyway, all the things that annoyed me went into the trash as soon as the sisters started bonding on their forced field trip. Win for sisters! Sisterhood! Womanhood! It was that powerful. Like I'm sure the secrets uncovered did not live up to their hype but the way the sisters were able to reunite was so beautiful. I could not have seen that coming and I could never imagine losing the relationship I have with my own sisters.
