The Diviners by Libba Bray

5.0

I enjoyed this book a lot. In fact, more than I expected to! I loved the atmospheric setting of NY City in the 1920s. I think the author managed to really create an authentic setting. She really brought the era to life.

In this book there are people with small magical abilities, who don't really know much about their powers. These people are Diviners.

The main plot of the book is centered on the finding of a serial killer, who may be magical himself.

Overall, the book was creepier than I expected, and left me wishing I had read it in October. Overall, a good read I would recommend!
