"You really have to hand it to them- they've taken a pristine wilderness that spanned the globe and brought it to heel with the concrete and firearms and technology. For this, they must be congratulated. Without their intervention, the world would be little more than a ramshackle, overgrown Arcadia.
I wish I had killed more of them"
A tale of climate change, extinction, smuggling, racism, scientific enquiry and Irish rebellion told from the vantage of Mammut bones as his life story. From his death against early humans, Mammut witnesses the birth of America, the Irish rebellion and his eventual auction at a museum! Accompanied by interjection from his (sometimes rapt audience) including a stuffed penguin, mummy hand and the skull of T. Bataar.
The story drags a little (hence the 4 not 5 star) but its witty!
