Unwritten Rules

I should start this review by making it clear, this book is very good. The rating is I liked it. Because I did. However, it just didn't move at my speed. It's a very sedate book. Nothing happens in this book, as it's mostly an internal journey of a man without much if any outside stimuli.
That being said, the internal journey is a beautiful one. The angsty bit, when you figure out what's been going on and for how long... that was my favorite bit, and it was beautifully done. There was just nothing interesting about the book. It was a normal, if poignant, journey of one man. Nothing in particular drew me in or kept me flipping pages.
Again, though, for a nice, sedate read, it was well done. Nicely fleshed out, enjoyable characters. The main character arcs very well. There's just no drama.
