Plot or Character Driven: A mix

Had a trickier time with this even though several episodes in it stand out as some of my favourite in the Earthsea Cycle so far. Sometimes enjoyment is circumstantial and I could benefit from a reread. Arren is a great choice of apprentice for Ged, overburdened with destiny and struggling to accept his true name as King of Enlad. How can you embody hope when the whole world is sick with evil?
