Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare
4.0

I AM BROKEN. AND NOBODY CAN FIX ME.

I started this book just before the release of chain of iron so it would hurt less. Let me drown myself in the lake of idris because I couldn’t be more wrong. This book is full of dramas.
Sometimes in a bad way, sometimes in a good way. But dramas nonetheless. And I enjoyed each and every single one of them. I'm not even guilty.
spoilers for the romance
Here's the dramas i enjoyed so much that i can't wait to put my nose in their future love life drama.
Cordelia is in love with James. James sees cordelia as his sister's would be parabatai and a kind friend. James is in love with Grace. Grace is an emotionless robot who can burn in hell (i hope that would awake some of her braincells, if she ever had any to start with. But let's not judge character by the amount of braincell they possesses)
Grace is engaged with Charles. Since Charles is going to get the biggest jerk award next year so it's a perfect match.

Matthew is probably in love with Lucie and Cordelia. (Non of them thankfully likes him back) Which is creepy. I thought you can't like two persons at once? Anyway. Lucie sees Matthew as a brother (ouch!). Lucie probably likes the mysterious boy she met in the forest. But you can never be sure since Lucie thinks all the boys are like her "brother". But probably that's the main reason why I love Lucie so much.
Also, why does there have to be so many love triangles? And why am I enjoying all of them? It's not fair.

Let's talk about the only character who has the perfect mixer of sense of humor and kindness with a lot of baddass behaviour.
She's probably my new favourite character from Shadowhunter world after Jem. Lucie is so funny! After so many chapters from Cordelia and James's dark POV Lucie
was like a breathe of fresh air. I can't wait to see more of her. And you know what? Screw James, Cordelia and all the demons and their frustrating love life. I wan't to see more of Lucie!!
Then their comes, Alistair. Falling in love with him was never a part of my plan but oh my... He has so much kindness and potential in him.

I'm gonna stop now. This review is an absolute mess. But then again, I have became an absolute mess after reading this book.
