Once again, Dickens has shown his incredible mastery over the English language. His delicate way of inserting emotionality adds a whole new depth to this novel. The triumphs are superb and the tragedies are bitter and dark. It tells of poverty, gambling, exile, and swindling. This truly is an incredibly riveting and emotionally impactful novel complete with both the slimiest, most villainous characters as well as some of the sweetest, most touching good characters.
