Interesting to me that this was a contemporary novel, written during WWII about current events.
Slightly strange reading just after [b:Partners in Crime|16325|Partners in Crime (Tommy & Tuppence, #2)|Agatha Christie|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1309307059l/16325._SY75_.jpg|1391512], as the Beresfords have aged from newlyweds with no children to middle aged with grown children, although they're once again at a loss as to what to do with themselves with another war on and too old to do any of the exciting jobs.
