Rooms
by Lauren Oliver
Rooms was one of those books that I randomly grabbed at the library and ended up enjoying immensely - I love it when that happens! Centered on a fractured family and the ghosts that share the house with them, Rooms was like looking through a broken mirror. The ghosts - Sandra and Alice - were my favorite characters by far, followed by Trenton. While I never quite got a handle on Minna, these three were more enough to carry the story on their weary backs. The book was haunting and melancholy - just the way I like my ghost stories.
