Harvard Square
by André Aciman
A mid book. Aciman’s self insert protagonist is dangerously relatable to me, and he explores the theme of friendship and exile beautifully. Yet some nuggets were overly used (if you take a shot every time you read “ersatz” you won’t survive the novel), and even if that’s on me, there’s honestly nothing more boring than straight men describing how they get to have sex with women.
