I found this sci-fi/fantasy novel a fun, lighter read as I’m sandwiching it between a high fantasy novel and a classic in my TBR. I originally stumbled across this book a little over a year ago and made note of it due to its beautiful cover art, and only recently actually picked it up. I will admit that the expression of some of the themes (classism, capitalism, workers rights) was a bit juvenile and may turn off/ away older readers, as this book really hits the target on its being written for a middle grade audience. However this wouldn’t deter me from recommending this to book someone looking for a quick, lighthearted fantasy read!
