Witchy sets up such a fun and unique world that is well suited to a graphic medium. The highlight for me is definitely the unique magic system (power indicated through hair? I love it) and world-building, though I see great potential for more character and plot development in future volumes. This first instalment is very much just introducing the world and the characters, but I am excited to see where it might lead. Even in this relatively short book, our main character, Nyneve, has good depth and I am eager to see what will happen to the side characters too! The art style isn't my favourite but the artist is good at creating atmosphere through colour and the pacing is good.
