Our Italian Summer by Jennifer Probst

3 women (grandmother, daughter, granddaughter) embark on an a trip to Italy to reconnect and reflect. An inspiring story about motherhood, self reflection, self discovery and family. I loved this story and the fact it takes place in Italy makes it even better. Jennifer Probst does a great job capturing the difficulties of motherhood from different perspectives. We try so hard not to raise our children like we were raised bet end the end we are just doing the best we can and we hope and pray its good enough. We are going to fail we just have to l earn from the failures.
“We swear we’ll never be like our mothers, but after enough time and experience pass, you realize we’re all the same. Doing our best. Making mistakes. Pushing forward.”
“It’s not about how many times we fail, Frannie. It’s how many times we recognize it.”
Very well written from all 3 perspectives. Beautiful descriptions of Italy. Made me feel I was there. I read this the week after I got back from a trip to Florence drone and it felt like I was right back there. Can’t wait to finish the series.
