The Paradox of Heroes: Volume I by Nicholas Hanna

4.0

“Paradox of Heroes: Volume 1” is an engaging book, with multiple story lines that seem very different at the beginning, but are wonderfully woven together as the story progresses. Right from the prologue, I was immediately hooked by the suspense of the sinister assassin and the suspense continued to build into the first chapter that plunges reader’s into a confusing mystery. It’s packed with action and puzzles that you’ll be working to crack alongside the characters. Although I definitely saw some parts as predictable and found a few of the characters to have rushed development, there was enough twist to keep me intrigued right to the end. I only wish there was a bit more of a conclusion when I reached the last page, but I suppose that will just keep the suspense going until I can get my hands on Volume 2.
