This book had a fight scene that had my heart POUNDING in my chest. I could barely eat dinner because of the adrenaline rush. If that isn't a sign of an engaging book, I don't know what is.

This has a cool magic system, lots of action, lots of interesting characters, lots of emotions, politcal intrigue, a well-developed world and lots of twists and turns.
