Moonflower Murders
by Anthony Horowitz
I enjoyed the mystery-sandwiched-within-mystery format, especially because the interior book had a knowing, campy vibe. The way queerness played a role in the story was really off-putting, where all the gay characters were portrayed as predatory or deviant. Not a good look and really detracted from an otherwise fun and multi-layered whodunnit in the English countryside.
