i like the message and story of the book, but the details of the scandinavian star scandal seems more like a separate passion project than a natural extension of the story and its message. I get the broader theme of capitalism ruining lives, but it would stand just as good on its own without the narrator centering scandinvian star in the story. Very beautifully written characters with tragic stories and some nice uplifting moments.
