This book was like playing Clue on expert mode with a bunch of shady characters. Everyone had AWFUL shit to hide and not a single person was likable.
But somehow, I was obsessed and finished this in 24 hours. It’s an easy read, fast paced, short chapters and multiple POVs. Finished it in one sitting because I had to know who did it and why.
I was side-eyeing all of these characters. They’re all honestly a hot mess. No one is safe from suspicion and the constant guessing game kept me spiraling. Not always a fan of red herrings in books but somehow this one worked. I’d think I had it figured out, then boom, last minute twist that had me questioning everything again!
This book delivers all the drama: long-buried secrets, manipulative lies, shady people in general, and one seriously twisty investigation. It gives big “Dateline meets a Lifetime thriller” energy but smarter and addictive.
If you’re into fast-paced thrillers with police procedural vibes, a tangle of lies, and a final twist that leaves you with a smug little “I KNEW it” (or maybe it will shock you), then you need to add this to your TBR immediately.
