dnf with thirty pages left. i don’t know whether i didn’t get into this because i haven’t read much horror, but the two other horror novellas i have read i have really enjoyed (the grownup and the test), so perhaps not. the biggest reveal as far as i know seemed to happen too early and after that it was slow going. i did enjoy the authors writing though, highlighted a bunch of passages on my kindle.
