See You in the Cosmos, Carl Sagan
by Jack Cheng
boy oh boy. i ADORE this book. i cry every time i think about it. first of all, alex is like my son. i must protect him from all evil. he’s such a sweetheart and i just cried with his very existence. he’s the sweetest boy ever. and the way he treated his mom in the first few pages had me sobbing for hours.
he truly deserves the world.
carl sagan is such a precious dog. i just want to give him a hug (and to alex too of course).
the book had me crying from beginning to end mostly because alex is such a precious child and i love how he sees the world and how he recorded things and everything.
i loved his relationship with every character; specially with his mom since he truly truly cares about her.
i loved how he made friends along the way that helped him out with everything. i wish i could know what happened to the older kid though, i hope he’s okay.
i was sobbing my heart out when he got injured and had to not read for a few hours because i was so traumatized from it. it hurt my soul that he was hurt and in the hospital for that injury.
i’m so glad that they found car sagan. i was worried all the time about what happened to him. and i loved the friendship he has with alex.
the only thing that truly saddens me though is that the recordings stopped before the launch. i wish i could see how he reacted to it. and how his mom was doing and if he made voyager 4 for the next rocket festival. i just never wanted the book to end.
i’m so happy that he found what he was looking for and that he has a family now.
i just really love alex so much and i really really really wish i could read more about him. this book is one of my all time favorites now. and if i could, i would give it a million stars out of 5.
love you, alex, thank you for that wonderful adventure with your golden ipod.
